Unite Against Fascism calls on anti-racists and trade unionists to join the protest at 12 midday this Saturday, 22nd July, The Butts OL16 1ES in Rochdale town centre, near the Town Hall, against the fascist Britain First rally. (Opposite Wetherspoons, 5mins walk from Rochdale Metrolink stop.)
Britain First’s leader Paul Golding was imprisoned last year for eight weeks for his campaign of “invading” mosques. Leading Britain First member Jayda Fransen was convicted for religiously aggravated harassment, after she abused a Muslim woman wearing a hijab.
Thomas Mair shouted ‘Britain First’ before he brutally murdered Jo Cox MP in 2016.
Britain First attracted about 250 to a recent rally in Birmingham. Our rally will publicly show they’re not welcome in Rochdale.
