Our results are in for the consultation we have undertaken over this year’s NJC Green Book pay award. This award affects our members at Salford City Council, Salix Homes, Salford Community Leisure, SRFT and Schools.
The result is:
Number of members eligible to vote – 2874
Number of members voting to reject – 710
Number of members voting to accept – 90
That gives us an 89% rejection, based on a 28% turnout.
This will not be fed into the North West region and it will be added to the other responses from across the region to determine the NW position in the discussions that will not take place at a national level.
Please can I thank those who voted and particularly those stewards who worked hard to get consultative ballot papers to members.
This is the highest turnout we have had in any consultation exercise, but at 28% it is still lower than we had hoped for.
If you did not vote, we are keen to know why. Any views, including constructive criticism will be taken on board and used to learn from this exercise.
If you wish to share any views, please email our Branch Secretary at email@example.com.
