My name is Angie Tunstall, and amongst other things I am a part of Eccles Town Team. I have been given your details by Amir Ahmed, Community Development Worker, at the Yemini Community Association (whom some of you may not yet have met!).
Following the (relative) success of Eccles’ first Human Rights Day Candlelight Vigil held in Eccles town centre last December, we are hoping to hold another vigil this year on Saturday 9th December at 4pm.
We are seeking to make space in the programme to highlight both global and closer to home human right s injustices using song, music, storytelling, art etc and would like to bring a small diverse team together to make this happen.
If this is something you feel passionate about and feel that you or the group you work / do life with have something to contribute in terms of ‘making the event happen’ , please would you consider being a part of a small planning (and delivering!) team between now and December?
Alternatively, it may be that you would be simply willing to help us promote the Vigil nearer the time through your networks.
Please could you give this some thought and get back to me by Monday 18th September when I hope to be able to draw a group together and arrange possibly 2-3 meetings before the event (time and venue of meetings to be arranged)
Many thanks for reading this email.
