From 4th – 7th December, Salford refuse workers will be collecting gifts for children who might not otherwise receive them.
We are asking all members who can – whether you live in Salford or not – to support this initiative, which was instigated by our UNISON Environment Convenor, Sam Barry.
If you want to donate a gift for a child aged 0 – 16, you can do one of the following this week:
1. If you live in Salford you can either hand it to the refuse collectors when they are on your street, or leave it with your bin in a water-proof bag.
2. Whether you live in Salford or not, you can drop gifts off at either Salford Civic Centre (Chorley Road), Turnpike House (Eccles New Road) or at our UNISON office at 443-445 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 9LQ.
This fantastic idea will make a real difference to the lives of children in our city.
